Monthly Amortization Schedule

American Oncology Resources, Inc. recently announced results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2007. Monthly amortization schedule for the quarter increased 40% to $111,614,000 from $79,525,000 reported in the same period last year. Net income increased 38% to $7,892,000 compared to $5,719,000 reported last year. Earnings per diluted share increased to $0.16, compared to the $0.12 reported for the second quarter of 2006.

For the six months ended June 30, 2007, revenues rose 42% to $212,563,000 compared to $149,921,000 reported in the same period last year. Net income increased 37% to $14,763,000, compared to $10,791,000 reported for the second quarter last year. Earnings per diluted share rose to $0.30, compared to $0.23 reported for the comparable 2006 period. R. Dale Ross, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, "We are extremely pleased with our financial results for the second quarter of 2007. The Company achieved a 38% increase in net income resulting in $0.16 per diluted share.

Cash flow from operations was $14.4 Million for the quarter, up 24% over the comparable prior year period. We continue to be confident that the Company's improved cash flow and capital structure will be sufficient to fund future growth and expansion."

Mr. Ross continued: "The Company's success is largely attributed to the engagement and leadership of our physicians who continue to execute on our key strategic initiatives. We have added 35 physicians year-to-date, which brings our network total to 339. The oncology community continues to react positively to the AOR strategy, reinforcing our confidence in our internal growth plan. We are pleased to report our same market revenue growth of 26% over the prior year comparable period which leads the industry and reflects the success of our strategy." Mr. Ross continued, "Our demand-driven cancer center strategy continues to accelerate as we will open five new cancer centers by October and have an additional seven centers under development."

In response to recent action taken and viewpoints expressed by certain financial and regulatory organizations regarding the amortization periods used by the Physician Practice Management industry as a whole, the Company has decided to change the amortization period of its management service agreements to 25 years on a prospective basis beginning July 1, 2007.

Historically, the Company has amortized these intangible assets over a 40-year period. The Company expects the change to decrease its earnings per share by approximately $.02 per diluted share per quarter beginning in the quarter ending September 30, 2007, excluding the effect of new management service agreements to be executed in the future. This adjustment does not reflect in any way a change in management's estimate of the value and expected duration of its relationships with its physician groups. This accounting change has no impact on cash flow or the Company's operations.
